This is absolutely brilliant. A mock episode of Fox’s 24 with Jack Bauer if it had aired in 1994.
My favorite line:
“It’s VHS. Hit Stop then Rewind.”
Collect calls, AOL keywords, Polaroids (goodbye), it’s all in there!

For those who do not know him, Derren Brown is a psychological illusionist (power of persuasion, NLP) who has a show on in the UK called Trick or Treat. People actively sign up for the show to be given a trick or a treat based on what ever card they blindly pick out of Derren’s hand. Pick a treat and Derren will find a way to really make you happy, give you a pleasant experience. Pick a treat… um, well, let’s just say you don’t want a trick.
So here is the final part of an episode where a woman discovers whether she has picked a trick or a treat.

I can’t really remember how I came across these artists covering songs from the movie Amelie, but none the less they are fantastic!
Dave is amazing: www.davethomasmusic.co.uk. Plus he lives in Brighton, UK… My old stomping ground!

Kind of odd… I just (3:04pm CST) went to Google’s homepage and found their usual logo replaced with the one below.

Here is the un-stretched version I found when I went to http://www.google.com/intl/en_ALL/images/logo.gif:

At first glance I thought it must have been Google Checkout day or something, but once I got all my screenshots, etc., and did a refresh, Google’s usual logo was back.
Here is a full screenshot:
Hmm… Not painfully interesting since it didn’t reveal anything of interest. It was just strange and rather surprising is all.

pbase.com has a photo gallery of some really amazing sand castles and all sorts of creatures and characters built with sand.
The geek factor is about a 9/10, some really amazing sculptures of wizards, dragons and even a wizard riding dragon.
