It is amazing how many video sharing sites there are. YouTube, Google Videos, iFilm, AtomFilms and so on. But each one has their own flair, their own “type” of video. The guys over at PandaSmash.com put together this really funny video highlighting the aspect of each of the video sharing sites. The forte if you will.
I was copying some old HI8 video tapes to digital formats when I ran across a video I filmed back in ‘97 of the band AFI at the Fireside Bowl here in Chicago.
There was an incident during the show which I had completely forgot about… Mark Stopholese, AFI’s original guitarist, hopping all over the place, unable to fight temptation climbs up on to the monitor speaker at the front of the stage and slips off, cracking his head open as he flips backwards. Yes. I did catch it all on tape. It is about 2:01 into the video below.
Song: File 13 Date: 25 November 1997
File 13 was their second song in and Mark played flawlessly for the rest of the show, never mind the concussion.
What is really funny is that the bassist, Hunter BurganGeoff Kresge (I believe this was their bassist at the time), had cracked his head open the night before, and was sporting a white shirt with his blood stains all over it.
Side note: At the time I believe they went by A.F.I., “Asking For It”. Now it is “A Fire Inside“.
Sorry for the poor video quality. YouTube really took a bite out of the quality, presumably to get the size down to their minimums. I may just have to upload my videos as .avi files since the quality is so much better
Update: The bassist at the time was Hunter Burgan, as noted above. And they were known as “Asking For It”. Thanks LAt3rAluS.
What a world we live in. This is a video of some 15 year old brat who has the balls the whine, cry, bitch and scream at her mother, in public no less, when she is surprised with a brand new Lexus. The little punks issue… It was the wrong one given to her on the wrong day!
Wow… This was a close one. This copper accidentally discharges her firearm, barely missing a man who is being handcuffed by another cop. Watch those itchy trigger fingers my friends.
These two guys from Australia who go by the stage name of ‘Umbilical Brothers’ are fantastic! The video is two clips, one from Tonight Show and the other from David Letterman. The first, from Jay Leno’s show, shows some impressive vocal skils.
What a maniac! VH1’s Fit Club Trainer flies off the handle, looks like he is about go after Saved by the Bell’s Dustin Diamond. I wish the video showed what Dustin said to the Fit Club Trainer to set him off… (more…)
