FYI: For all you IE7 visitors… There is a layout issue at the moment with Internet Explorer 7, which I am fixing at this very moment.

NameMyVote - Can You Spot the Republican?

name my vote logo
NameMyVote is a new website where you are presented with someones portrait and you have to guess whether they are a republican or a democrat, ala HotOrNot.

It is actually pretty addictive, not as much as HotOrNot was when I first came across it, but it is still a really interesting commentary on how we perceive people, how we can quickly judge people.

Since political affiliation can be very heated, the site has some real potential to do some really interesting things with generalizations so I would love to see where this is headed.

What a Shit Day I had… Until I Came Home to the 20,000+ People Who Visited My Blog Today!

Yesterday was only the second time I ever submitted a site or article of my own to Reddit and after having such a crappy day today, which I will go into in a moment, my spirits were lifted by the sheer attention my article received! The article in question entitled How Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) Messes with the Paparazzi

I have always read about the sheer numbers of people and traffic that getting on the front page of Reddit will bring, (mine made it to page 2), but I have never experienced it first hand. I am used to humbly low uniques, but it really put a smile on my face :) A huge thanks to the Reddit Community!

It made my day so much better simply because I had such a shit day. One of those days where nothing goes right. I couldn’t get a clients PC to recognize a new printer. Someones NIC fried and three computer and electronic stores later I finally got my hands on a new one. Someone forgot to bring in their laptop so I have to drive 45 miles tomorrow for 10 minutes of actual work! I jammed my thumb on the truck door. Spent 2 hours on the phone explaining to a client how to do some beyond remedial tasks. I could go on, but I hate whining, I swear.

Wow… I’m a real baby! At least I have you to comfort me… Thanks guys… and gals!

Who closes the door after the bus driver gets off the bus?

What ever happened to an E grade? We have A,B,C,D,F but no E. Why is it that rain drops but snow falls? Did Adam and Eve have navels? And many many more questions… Don’t expect any answers.

The Bubble House, Cannes

Yeah… I’d live there.

How to be Chuck E. Cheese - Show Biz Pizza Training Video

Brilliant! When I was a kid I was obsessed with Show Biz Pizza and Chuck E. Cheese. What a concept… Video games, pizza, sugar and prizes! This is a kids dream come true!

First Cars, Now Hybrid Refrigerators

This is fantastic! The Basic Freeaire® System turns your fridge in to a hybrid energy saving machine. Like hybrid cars that only use gas on the highway, the Freeaire system only uses the refrigerators compressor when it can’t use the the cold air outside. If it is winter, why bother kicking in the compressor? A huge money savor!
