Web stats for your weblog

Loading ...What good is a blog if you have no way of getting to know your visitors. I absolutely hate some of the big-box web stat counters. They’re bloated and tend to try to be any and everything.
Good news bloggers. There are some really good options available.
1. CrazyEgg
If there is only one reason to sign up with CrazyEgg it’s for their heatmap, which lets you visualize where people are clicking on your site. You may know from where your visitors are coming from, but without heatmap there is no way to know which link they clicked.
2. Mint
Clean, easy navigation. So many web stat apps can be a bit heuristic, but Mint is easy to get a grasp on the info you need, fast.
3. Clicky
Clicky is a really clean and clear web stat application that has an emphasis on mapping your visitors. It is great for tracking individual visitors moves on your site. Seeing who referred them, what pages they viewed and where they left.
4. MeasureMap
Hmmm? Why post about a tool that has not been released to the public yet? Adaptive Path + Google = KICK ASS! Well, that’s that I think anyway. We’ll see. Measure Map, like Clicky, puts the emphasis on getting to know your visitors. It alos goes a step further than the others in that it also track incoming links and the number of comments posted on your blog.
There you have it. Four great web stat tools for your site or blog.

5. SlimStat
This is one of my favorite web stat apps and is easier to install than Wordpress (well, almost). What is great about slimstat is that is a stripped down look at your visits, referrers, search strings etc. No frills charts and graphs, just the info in a clean readable layout.
